Pool Workout

Today my coach Joel Williams had me do a pool workout in replace of tempo running. It was my first pool workout ever and I loved it. In the pool I worked on basic sprint mechanics (posture, arms, etc.). Well I finally took my Spanish test hopefully I did well. (lol) If not I wasted countless hours of studying.

Week 1 of training complete

Well the first week of fall training went well at UNC Asheville. I'm a little sore in the groin area from running hills three times this week. But other then that it was a good first week of fall training. The third week of school was decent I guess. (lol) I hate Spanish at the moment even though my teacher Ms Ellen Bailey is nice!!!! . App State almost pulled out a win over East Carolina. Coach Jerry Moore and the Mountaineers lost 29-25 down in Greenville, NC. But the season looks promising. I can't wait to see Armanti Edwards back in action hopefully next weekend at The Rock against McNeese State.

Tomorrow is the first day of track practice. I'M NERVOUS!!!

Monday - Plant a seed day

¡Hola! Another Monday down and out in Asheville, NC. As usual the day begin at 7:15AM when my alarm went off. I roamed onto campus around 8:20PM, Spanish class didn't begin until 8:30AM. Today, I learned the numbers in Spanish (1-100). It was pretty self explanatory after the #20. After that we played charades in Spanish. It was a little difficult for my classmates and I at times, but we mange to get what the teacher was describing. My next class was Health Communication and it was the most boring class I ever been in. Enough said (lol). After that I adventure my way home from North Asheville (UNC-Asheville) to South Asheville on the great City Transit. It was !FREE! so why not ride and save gas money. That's more money for Ed Hardy and Air Jordan's (lol). This afternoon and tonight I just plan to study in-depth on Spanish and read some Philosophy. As Appalachian State football coach Jerry Moore says, tie a knot on a rope and hold on. ¡Adios Amigos!

Please excuse my grammatical errors!

First week of school bumpy

So I just finished up my first week of classes at UNC-Asheville. I was lucky enough to get my classes schedule Mon-Thur. In my last entry I talked about how I was having trouble with my schedule. My day starts bright and early on the beautiful campus of UNCA at 8:00AM. I finish my classes at 10:40AM everyday. Starting Aug 31, I will be on campus a little longer because that's when track starts. I am sored of looking forward to training again and sored not. I am trying to be 100% from waist down before I start training. This includes: lower back, hamstrings, hip flexiors and achilles. I have not had the opportunity to do any goal setting which is unlikely of me. But, maybe its time to just go out and not make goals, just achieve them. Once again Usain Bolt breaks yet another WR, this time in the 200m (19.19) Insane he is. Well until next time take care.

First day of school

Well I decided it was time to start blogging again since I now have some spare time on my hands. Yesterday (Mon - Aug 18, 09), was my first day of classes at UNC Asheville. It went very well, considering the fact I was tired and drained out from the stressful summer. However, my schedule is currently corrupted. GRRR!!!! I been spending the last two days trying to make my schedule fit in with track and field practice. It has been a tough situation, but I am confident with a couple of teacher overrides, I will get it together by the add/drop date (8-21-09). Yesterday I also had lunch with an old friend from ETSU. Ms Heather Webb AKA Pulaski. We ate at Chili's Bar and Grill in South Asheville. Pulaski and I had the chance to catch up on old times from the Main Meal days at @SU (lol). I miss her smiling face and energetic attitude. Someone could be down and she would lift their spirits.... :-) Anyways I just been chilling out a home reading The Purpose Driven Life Book and watching the Berlin 2K9 World Track Championships. Usain Bolt broke his own WR in the 100m dash (9.58) :( My idol, Tyson Gay broke his own American Record in the 100 meters (9.71). Speaking of track we start practice Aug 31, 2009. This is a special year for me because its my first year being able to run for a team. In the past three years I have either ran unattached or for my own club team Track Asheville. I am a little nervous because I want to make a good first impression on our coaching staff. I am still suffering from a lower back injury within the SI Joint and left hamstring. Its been crazy on campus so I have not had the time see the trainer for some new PNF stretches. Hopefully I can get by there tomorrow (Wed) before our NCAA compliance meeting. Well I hope this week gets better for me and that I find something to do productive for once instead of sleeping and sitting on the internet. (lol) I need to catch up on Manteo Mitchell's website and WNCPrepTrack.com. But I gotta get my computer savvy movation back. (lmao)

PS: I am so glad my sister got her a new Dell laptop now so she can stop sneaking on to mine. You know what sucks? The minute Alex Hunter hires me to work at The Wash part time on weekdays/ full time on the weekends but now I am back in school so no weekdays. O well I will still have money on the side from the weekends. Hopefully I can get this new Soney Laptop, a car and some Ed Hardy by the time Sept is out.

Please excuse my grammatical errors!
